REAL ID by Any Other Name Stinks As Bad

Since REAL ID was DOA, the state’s long noses have introduced a similar bill with $ugar coating for the states. Don’t pass it. Here is the link:

Gut Real ID

Real ID is back in the news:

Hopefully, it has generated enough animus that it is not saveable. See the closing remarks in the article—stating that the revised bill being proposed is only “Real ID, with some of the sharpest corners taken off.” Privacy is a challenging enough issue between individuals; but to give the state even more than the too much control that it already has, is a grant of power to the state of telling us when we can travel, where we can travel, and who can travel. If the state were some neutral entity this would not be so bad. But the state is a mafioso. The more power they are given the worse it will be for civilization and humanity. “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished” (Proverbs 22:3; 27:12).
